De nombreux programmes sont mis en ÷uvre dans le monde pour lutter contre la mor
talité maternelle, mais beaucoup ne présentent pas une e cacité signi cative notamment
parce qu'ils n'ont pas intégré les acteurs concernés dans les interventions. Dans cet article,
nous présentons notre point de vue sur la mise en ÷uvre des programmes de lutte contre
la mortalité maternelle et une proposition d'un programme d'intervention. Ce programme
vise à augmenter le niveau de connaissances et le pouvoir d'agir des femmes sur les signes
de danger obstétrical dans une approche multimodale de promotion de la santé impliquant
toutes les parties prenantes dont, les femmes elles-mêmes, leurs maris, les accoucheuses
traditionnelles, les membres de la communauté ainsi que les prestataires de soins, en n
de contribuer à la réduction de la mortalité maternelle en République Démocratique du
Congo.
